Brown Spots on Flowers - No Other Symptoms

Flowers are turning brown or have brown spots on them. There are no other symptoms. If your African Violet has this combination of symptoms, it may be the result of one of the following:

Check these possible causes against the symptoms you are seeing. Each is accompanied by a full description which will help you determine whether or not it is the cause of the problems your African Violet is experiencing.

Note: Whenever exposure to chemical gas is a possible cause, it is important to rule this out as you consider other possible causes, since the symptoms of chemical gas exposure can mimic the symptoms of other problems. As a consequence, chemical gas exposure is frequently misdiagnosed.
