Symptoms: Other

The following list provides a number of symptoms which may appear on an African Violet or its soil, pot or watering device. Select the one which best describes the symptom you are seeing.

• Elongated Neck. Elongated neck forms above the soil line.
• Green Slime in Saucer or Watering Device. There is a green slime in the saucer or watering device.
• Green Slime on Pot. Green slime coats the side of the pot.
• Green Slime on Soil. Green slime coats the surface of the potting soil.
• Insects or Other Pests. There are insects or other pests on the plant.
• Insects or Other Pests in the Saucer or Watering Device. There are insects or other pests in the saucer or watering device.
• Insects or Other Pests on the Leaves, Stems or Flowers. There are insects or other pests on the leaves, stems or flowers.
• Insects or Other Pests on the Roots or in the Soil. There are insects or other pests on the roots.
• Mossy Growth on Soil. A mossy growth covers the surface of the soil.
• Neck - Elongated. Elongated neck forms above the soil line.
• Plant - Growth Rangy. Plant growth is rangy, i.e., the plant has elongated leaves and stems.
• Plant - Growth Slow. Plant growth is slow.
• Plant - Insects or Other Pests. Plant has insects or other pests on it.
• Plant - Lopsided. Plant appears lopsided. One side is growing larger than the other.
• Plant - Topples Over at the Base. Plant topples over at the base. Top part of plant may separate entirely from the root system. Plant may appear otherwise healthy.
• Pot - Green Slime. Green slime coats the side of the pot.
• Potting Soil - Green Slime or Mossy Growth. Green slime or mossy growth covers the surface of the potting soil.
• Potting Soil - Insects or Other Pests. There are insects or other pests in the potting soil.
• Potting Soil - Saturated. Potting soil always seems saturated.
• Saucer - Green slime. There is a green slime in the saucer.
• Saucer - Insects or Other Pests. There are insects or other pests in the saucer.
• Seedlings - Wilt and Collapse. Seedlings wilt and collapse.
• Soil - Green Slime or Mossy Growth. Green slime or mossy growth covers the surface of the potting soil.
• Soil - Insects or Other Pests. There are insects or other pests in the soil.
• Soil - Saturated. Potting soil always seems saturated.
• Watering Device - Green Slime. There is a green slime in the watering device.
• Watering Device - Insects or Other Pests. There are insects or other pests in the watering device.
• White Film on Soil Surface. Presence of a white film or residue on soil surface.
